WHAT IS THE WAYFINDNG PROJECT?
The Wayfinding Project is a holistic approach to helping youth in grades 11 & 12 discern the next steps God has for them in their journey with Him. The Wayfinding Project includes two in-person retreats – October 2-4, 2026 at Camp Wildwood in NB, and April 2-4, 2027 at Bayside Camp in NS. In between the retreats you will engage with other Wayfinding students in eight online modules, helping you discern and listen. Lastly, all along the way you will have a mentor who will both support and guide you along your journey. This isn’t a journey meant to be done alone which is why community is such an important piece of the Wayfinding Project. Are you ready for the adventure?

HOW DO I START the ADVENTURE?
Youth PASTORS / LEADERS YOU’RE UP FIRST!
1) NOMINATE
The journey starts with you! Do you have youth (going into grade 11 or 12 in the 2026-27 school year) who could benefit from discerning God’s call in their life? Here is your chance to help and it doesn’t require a lot. Click the button below and nominate up to three youth who could benefit from an engaging discernment process. Nominations for this year’s cohort will be accepted up until August 14, 2026.
Keep in mind not all students who are nominated will be chosen to participate due to capacity limitations. The nomination form opens soon!
2) ENCOURAGE
Check in with your youth, and if they receive an invitation to register, encourage them to pray about it and register before the deadline September 11, 2026.
3) Follow Up
Follow up and debrief with your youth/young adult after they attend the retreats and as they work through the modules. Ask them if they need help finding a mentor to journey with them in the process.
OK! YOUTH NOW ITS YOUR TURN!
1)Register & Attend Retreat
So you’ve been nominated by your youth leader and you’ve recieved an invitation to join The Wayfinding Project… Awesome! Now it’s time to prayerfully consider accepting the invite and then register yourself by September 11, 2026. Registering tells us that you are ready to start the journey!
There is a fee (TBD but approx. $50) to register. If cost is a barrier for you to attend please contact us ASAP so that we can work toward a solution together.
2) Find a Mentor
After you register and attend the first retreat, you will be invited to find a mentor! A Wayfinding Mentor is someone who will journey with a student for one school year (until the end of June 2027), helping them recognize God’s voice in their lives by praying for them and listening to them through the decisions they are navigating.
3) Work on your Modules!
The Wayfinding Project consists of online community learning, working with a mentor and two in-person retreats. The first retreat will take place October 2-4, 2026 at Camp Wildwood in NB, and the second will take place April 2-4, 2027 at Bayside Camp in NS. After you register be on the lookout for details concerning our first retreat in October, and continue to prayerfully ask the Holy Spirit to prepare you for the journey ahead!
