One God, One Church, One Mission.

ONE con is an amazing event which bring the entirety of Atlantic Canada together to worship ONE God. We (the CBAC Y&F team) wanted to give a big ‘THANK YOU’ to a few different people:

  1. The amazing ONE con team: Renee co-directed ONE Con with Andy Broad (Pastor of Student Ministry at Kings Church) and helped lead an amazing team of individuals who were committed to excellence, each other, students, and to running an event where the Gospel was front and centre. The ONE con team laughed together, prayed together, supported one another, and overcame a number of small (and some big) challenges. The team represented a diverse background of roles, denominations, and ministry locations but demonstrated what being ONE is all about! One God, One Church, One Mission.

  2. The inspiring ONE volunteer team: The amazing team of over 80 ONE con volunteers helped make ONE con what it was! Whether it was supervising the FunZone, holding doors, setting up, praying with students and leaders, or giving high fives this team was dedicated and enthusiastic the whole weekend!

  3. The dedicated pastors and volunteer leaders: There were over 750 leaders at ONE con this year who invested their sleep, energy, and time to invest in students and to show the love of Jesus to them.

  4. The energetic students: Students are what make ONE con possible. Their enthusiasm, their energy, their desire to know more, and their willingness to show up! We love students and truly believe that they have an important role to play in the local church RIGHT NOW!

  5. Those praying at home: Finally, to those who may not have been in at the Moncton Coliseum but were praying for us and the students. Jesus moved in some amazing ways, and your prayers played an important role.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We are excited to continue to help make this event happen and are excited for what God will do with the experiences and learnings which resulted from ONE con. We would encourage you to take advantage of ONE PLUS (downloadable here: https://www.onecon.ca/pdf/KCC_One_Resource_Materials.pdf) which is a resource developed to help the learning continue and to identify ways which they can bring that learning to their neighbourhood. If you know a student who attended ONE con invite them to share with you about their experience and about what they learnt over the weekend. Perhaps even give them a chance to share to your greater church family about what they learnt and about what God is doing.
